Today we all know that education is must for everyone but are afraid about the safety of our children due to the increasing number of crimes in Michigan. Michigan Homeschooling may be the most promising way to give our children a higher level of education while mitigating worries about safety. As the name implies, with homeschooling programs you may educate your child within an atmosphere that addresses special learning opportunities available in Michigan. Homeschooling may also offer a self paced study schedule in which the student isn’t forced into their classmates’ pace, required to submit coursework on arbitrary deadlines or complete final examinations. Though powerful vested interests oppose homeschooling, it is also true that parents see the benefits of homeschooling a child. There are obvious reasons that make homeschooling the best way to teach the values that most parents believe and hold true in Michigan.
Homeschooling provides the best education in moral and religious beliefs for children. Instead of having alternative forms of sexuality thrust upon them by the state-mandated curriculum at the age of seven, parents can introduce these concepts at an age that is more appropriate for the child. When deciding to educate their child, a big decision and one of the keys concerns that comes to every parent’s mind is whether or not he or she has the ability and knowledge to be a teacher and do the job correctly. But in Michigan, homeschooling parents have the support of over 100,000 other families and over 1,000 support groups and networks that have been set up to assure that parents are successful. In addition, the internet has changed the face of Michigan and homeschooling forever by offering virtual tours, online distance learning programs, educational games and activities that make the Michigan homeschooling dynamic. Instead of having to settle for the curriculum promoted by lobbyists and special interests homeschoolers may choose from the best and brightest instructional methods in America – or the world for that matter.
Homeschool programs give children more focused education and more individual attention than a school, providing alternative academic time and support through online systems. Furthermore, the Internet can assist busy parents too as children have an entire online library available at their fingertips. In fact, due to the advances technology there are more tools available than ever to assist parents in the task of providing homeschool education for their children. For those students who live in rural areas, homeschooling is best at providing an efficient learning environment. Riding a bus for an hour each direction is more a waste of time than anything else. Therefore those students who are homeschooled often have better computer skills than their public school peers. Another benefit that makes homeschooling better than a public school is that it is difficult for a teacher to rotate 25 to 30 students through the use of classroom computers in any timely manner. So now if you are in any confusion about Michigan homeschooling environment, just consider all the benefits that a homeschool program offers parents and their children as well.

Landmark Education on Communication
Everyone at some point has experienced an impasse in communication; those frustrating occasions when it all breaks down and people want to get up and walk out. Just look at a sample of recent headlines: “Peace Talks Breakdown” or “Labor Negotiations at a Stalemate” or “Negotiations Fail to Result in an Accord”. When the stakes are high and people are afraid they have something to loose communication becomes strained and people stop listening to one another. Usually this is while claiming that the people on the other side of the table are actually the ones who are not doing the listening. We get so concerned and fearful about getting other people to hear what we have to say, we become unwilling to hear what they have to say.
Indeed, listening seems sometimes as if it is a rare happening among human beings. We can’t really listen to another person speaking if we’re preoccupied, or if we’re trying to decide what we’re going to say when the other stops talking, or if we’re debating about whether what is being spoken is true or relevant or agreeable. Listening, in other words, is being accessible and open to what is being said.
At Landmark Education we contend that listening has an amazing power. It gives life to what is being spoken. You might even say it is with the listener that both the speaker and what is spoken exist and come alive. Think of how inspired and enlivened the elderly can become when you sit down and have an extended conversation with them. Think about what happens when someone is really listening to you. Ever notice that you become funnier and more playful when someone laughs at your jokes? What about when a child recognizes that adults are actually listening to them? Their whole demeanor shifts. In the programs of Landmark Education, you find yourself with a new ability to listen to others. You find yourself inspired by the people you have in your life. When you truly listen to people you discover the best of what they have to offer.
Speaking, meanwhile, can be something more than talking, more than the exchange of symbols or information, more than saying what you really think. In speaking we can share ourselves; we can evoke experience in others. Speaking is where our ideas become clear and possible. It is where others are expanded by our time spent with them. It allows for the futures we create. Speaking lives in poetry, in the appreciation of another, in idle conversations that pass the time, in great theories and books that give rise to wonder and thought.
.
Speaking allows for “who” and “how” we “are” in the world. It is what gives voice to all that is possible in being human. In our ability to speak and share we have the ability to shape the world we live in.
In the courses of Landmark Education you find that true communication is creation. It has the power to shape, determine, and alter the course and quality of our lives. It moves people. It generates experience in others. It not only delivers information to others, it actually transforms their ability to hear. True communication transforms both the speaker and listener. The Landmark Forum suggests that what it is to be human has its own domain and that domain is one of language—of communication, of conversation. Through communication —the realm of language, of conversation—each of us has complete access to ourselves, to others, to the very essence and possibility of what it means to be human.
This is the essence of what Landmark Education is about and what The Landmark Forum provides.

Interview Coaching: a Home-based Business on the Cutting Edge
Â
Who would believe that someone with a home-based business can reach out to a far away country and work with a client via a Blackberry and a cell phone? That is exactly what I did last month with a man in Israel who was going to interview there. And, he not only got the job, but he was able to negotiate a higher salary after our work together.
The business of coaching in general is quietly taking over the $427 Billion home-business sector by storm. If you are interested in getting in on this wave you will first need to find a niche. A niche that will satisfy your needs â?? where you can make a difference and some good money at the same time.
My niche is Interview Coaching, which is my way to connect with people all over the United States and beyond. To be able to reach out and help someone â?? and to be appreciated is what my business is about. Can you think of a better way to make a living?
You might think that just anyone could hang advertise themselves as an Interview Coach. In reality they can do that, but that doesnâ??t mean they have what it takes to do a good job for their clients or themselves.
Hereâ??s a little quiz to determine if this might be a niche for you to explore further.
Â
__ I am an excellent listener
You should be able to really â??hearâ? people when they talk. You can pick up on hidden things theyâ??re saying if you read between the lines.
Â
__ I am good at â??readingâ? people â??
Some people say they are â??people personsâ? but they donâ??t know how to look beyond what is on the surface. Thatâ??s a special gift that will make you very successful at this business.
Â
__ I have great communication skills
Good communication skills begin with listening and then letting the person know that they have been heard. It is also adjusting your communication level to match the person you are talking to â?? whether it is with an executive or a laboratory assistant.
Â
__ I am patient and will take time to explain what needs to change
Some people do not have the patience to listen to a long story or to have to explain something over in several different ways to get the point across.
Â
__ I am capable of giving straight forward feedback
How do you tell someone that they arenâ??t doing something affectively? You give straight-forward facts that are sometimes difficult to say. Not giving honest advice will take away from the value of your coaching.
Â
__ I would make a great teacher/coach
If you are starting out, you have to determine if you want to spend time with people teaching them new skills and techniques that will make a difference in their lives.
Â
__ I have patience and good customer service skills
Sometimes people change their minds, cancel appointments, donâ??t show up for appointments. Itâ??s all part of having a business. Your customer service policy will be of your own choosing and values.
Â
__ Iâ??m good at figuring out problems
This is the most exciting part of interview coaching. To ask the questions and find out what is going on. Asking many questions and listening and reading between the lines will give you clues to helping the person succeed.
Â
__ I want to make a difference
Youâ??ve come to the right place. You can help people change their lives. You can help them to be more competitive in the job market. You can show them that they have power in the interview process.
Â
__ Iâ??m good at giving motivational reinforcement
After youâ??ve given them the straight-forward feedback you will have to work to build their esteem back to a place where they will appreciate they have something to offer.
Â
How many checks were you able to put on the list? If you have six out of the ten skills required â?? or higher â?? this may be a place for you to explore.
Being an interview coach offers new challenges and the chance to play many roles during a single day. The roles may vary with each client. The clients are all different â??people in transition, or up for an internal promotion, or changing fields, or young people entering the work force. And, donâ??t forget the â??walking woundedâ? â?? who have been laid off, or fired.. These people need help â?? they need encouragement â?? they need caring for.
What is life after all if it isnâ??t about making a difference? You can make a difference in your own life as well as other peoplesâ?? lives – over, and over, and over â?? extending all over the world. You can make a difference as an Interview Coach.
